Biodiversity
Biodiversity is on rapid decline, with the United Kingdom as one of the most nature depleted countries in the world. A principal cause of this is climate change, and conversion of semi-natural areas of land for anthropogenic uses. We must arrest this decline and allow nature to recover.
There are hundreds of different species of plants, animals and fungi across the OpenLiving Labs, and part of our mission is to help nature recover at this site, and monitor the changes as our interventions and management practices take effect.
